Scott Faulring research collection on Jerald and Sandra Tanner, 1980-1984.

Contains Faulring's typescripts and tapes of interviews with Jerald and Sandra Tanner and additional Tanner documents. Scott Faulring interviewed Jerald and Sandra Tanner for an oral history project and seminar paper in 1980. Faulring also describes the research of the Tanners and provides a bibliography of their works. Also included are other interviews by James D'Arc and Roger Flick. Faulring also provides photocopies of documents relating to the court cast of Andrew F. Ehat vs. Jerald Tanner et al.

Jerald Tanner, born June 1, 1938 and raised as a Mormon, was a prolific critic of the Mormon faith. Tanner, the founder of Utah Lighthouse Ministry, a non-profit organization devoted to criticism of the LDS Church, wrote over 40 books, including "Mormonism -- Shadow or Reality?" and "The Changing World of Mormonism."
